Price & Buckland’s approach
Here at Price & Buckland our commitment goes much further than producing and supplying high quality schoolwear.
We have total control and full visibility of the working conditions, practices and pay of every employee and our factory has recently been credited as being a fully SA 8000:2008 (Social Accountability) certified company. In addition, we not only ensure good conditions for our workers, but we manage and control the quality of our garments as well.
Further up the supply chain, we also visit the yarn and fabric producers to ensure high standards are maintained. Audits are carried out, and advice and guidance is given where required. From the workers who weave the yarn, the knitters who knit the fabric, to the pattern cutters who make the garments; we get to meet them face to face.
To help the community we operate in, we established the PB EduFoundation in India, which helps children and schools in the vicinity of our Noida-based factory by providing them with educational tools and resources. In addition to the larger corporate giving, every employee gets involved in raising hundreds of pounds for a wide range of other charities.
From Bake Offs and Fun-Runs to fancy dress days and quizzes, there is always some charity event taking place, helping those less fortunate than ourselves.
