Leading schoolwear supplier Price & Buckland has secured the contract to supply uniforms to pupils at a school that will open its doors on a new single site from September 2009.
North Leamington Community School and Arts College, in Warwickshire, has previously been operating from three sites but when the autumn term starts, it will operate from one and have a new name, North Leamington School.
After extensive consultation, and to tie in with the new start, the 1,210 students, including the 310 students in the Sixth Form, will have a brand new uniform, supplied by Price & Buckland.
The company has also just taken an order on hooded tops for the Sixth Form students, with a choice of purple, black, white and burgundy, full zipped or non-zipped. The garments have the words ‘sixth form’ embroidered on them and there is an option for pupils to request their own names on the back.
Assistant Headteacher Beth Sharpe commented: “The new uniform was chosen after wide consultation with pupils, parents and teachers and is designed to create a less formal, more practical look, at a cost-effective price. We’re really delighted with the uniform from Price & Buckland.”
A highlight of the range for some of the pupils is that the engineering students will be able to order purple polo shirts with logos for when they go out of the school on their courses every week.
