Thank you for taking the time to find out more about Price & Buckland. I would like to take this opportunity to tell you a little about who we are, where we have come from and most importantly, what we can offer you.

We are a school uniform manufacturer based in a small corner of Nottinghamshire, in a town called Hucknall. Today we have established ourselves, not only as a 'distinctive' supplier of school uniforms, but also as a manufacturer of less conventional contemporary garments such as 'polos' and 'hoodies', and as a supplier at the forefront of innovative services such as Embroidered Stock Holding.

It would be impossible to tell the story of our company without mentioning my father and grandfather. In the 1920's Oswald Buckland (my grandfather) started out in the hosiery industry, with a then little known brand called Pretty Polly, a brand that he traded successfully with until its sale in the 1950's.

It was after working as part of the Pretty Polly team that my father Geoffrey Buckland set up his own knitwear firm in Arnold, Nottingham in 1959 with business partner John Price - this was the birth of Price & Buckland.

The late eighties saw something of a resurgence in the school uniform market and it was at this point that myself and my brother Anthony, Price & Buckland's sales and marketing director, bought into the business.

Our vision was to transform the business from being manufacturing-led to one which was much more schools focused. In fact we were one of the first companies who began selling uniform directly to schools. At the point when we joined the company we had 24 school clients, it has taken years of hard work but we now provide uniforms to over 2,000 state and private, primary and secondary schools in the UK.

We have experienced excellent growth over the years but our aim is not to be a huge company, we just hope to keep on growing at a good pace and continue to provide high quality products to you, our customers.
